Apple’s Request for Moto’s Android Info Denied For Time Being

So much for Apple’s attempt to force Motorola Mobility to divulge information about its acquisition by Google and the search behemoth’s Android OS. A U.S. circuit court judge on Monday denied Apple’s request for this information as it currently stands, saying it was far too broad. “The motion is vague and overbroad and Motorola’s objections are persuasive,” Judge Richard Posner wrote. “If Apple desires a further court order compelling production of data … it will have to narrow its request to a manageable and particularized set of documents.”
