Sold! Primedia Is Winning Bidder for eBay’s Rent.com Subsidiary.
EBay has sold Rent.com, a subsidiary that helps renters find a place to live, to Primedia, an Atlanta-based company that also owns home-rental resources, such as ApartmentGuide.com, Rentals.com and RentalHouses.com. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. In 2005, eBay acquired Rent.com, which helped to build a platform to ship automobiles for eBay Motors.
