Kindle Touch Will Touch Down in Europe on April 27

Five months after its U.S. debut, Amazon’s Kindle Touch is finally headed to Europe.

The company began taking preorders for the device in the U.K., Germany, France, Italy, and Spain today, with a promised ship date of April 27. Notably, Amazon is not offering a cheaper advertising-supported version of the Kindle Touch in Europe, and the one it is offering will not support the Kindle lending library.

And what of the Kindle Fire? Is there a European ETA for that? Said an Amazon spokesperson, “We have nothing to announce at this time.”
