Kunimasa Suzuki Named President and CEO of Sony Mobile Communications
On Wednesday morning, Sony tapped Kunimasa Suzuki as president and CEO of Sony Mobile Communications, a division created this year after the Japanese electronics maker’s buyout of Sony Ericsson. Suzuki succeeds Bert Nordberg, who will become Chairman of Sony Mobile on May 16. The move puts the finishing touches on Sony CEO Kaz Hirai’s new “four screens” initiative, a strategy intended to unify and integrate the company’s smartphone, PC, television and tablet product lines.
