Nokia in Talks to Unload Luxury Vertu Brand
Evidently, there’s a lot of life left yet in the market for $20,000 gold-encrusted Symbian handsets — Nokia may have found a willing buyer for its luxury handset subsidiary Vertu. The Financial Times reports that the struggling Finnish mobile phone maker is mulling a deal that would see it sell the world’s most expensive mobile phone brand to private equity firm Permira for about $265 million.
