PlanGrid Funded for Bringing Construction Project Blueprints to iPads

PlanGrid, which makes a freemium iPad app for people working on construction projects to manage blueprints, has raised $1.1 million in seed money. Founded by two construction engineers and two software engineers, the company attracted funding from a number of Silicon Valley angels, as well as one of the first strategic investments by Box.net, after graduating from the Y Combinator program.
