HP Names Bill Veghte COO

More big changes at Hewlett-Packard today, this time in the company’s executive management team. On Wednesday morning, HP tapped Bill Veghte as chief operating officer. Veghte, who previously ran HP’s software business, will now oversee the company’s strategy, reporting directly to CEO Meg Whitman. Taking over for him in the software slot: George Kadifa, previously an exec at Silver Lake.
