Kleiner Perkins Poaches Square’s Megan Quinn as Newest Partner

Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers has hired Megan Quinn as partner of the company’s digital group, where she will focus on consumer Internet investments. Quinn joins the high-profile investment firm from Square, where she was director of products at the mobile payments company. Prior to Square, Quinn was at Google for seven years and led development of products such as Google Maps. She is joining a week after Kleiner’s Ellen Pao filed a lawsuit against the firm, alleging gender discrimination. Kleiner has said the allegations are without merit.
