Oracle Acquires Social Monitoring Company Collective Intellect

Software giant Oracle said today that it has reached a deal to acquire Boulder, Colo.-based Collective Intellect, a company that has built a cloud-based social analytics platform. Its customers include Hasbro, CBS and Dole. Oracle said it will integrate Collective’s technology with its own social platforms to help companies create better marketing campaigns. Financial terms were not disclosed.
