DailyMotion Taps MTV Vet for VP of Content Role

French online video-sharing Web site DailyMotion has hired Neil Gladstone to be the site’s new VP of content. A former MTV.com director of content and programming — he was also AOL editorial director — Gladstone will oversee content acquisitions, partnerships and programming and will work on producing editorial content with both brands and independent artists using DailyMotion’s video platform (akin to what Google is doing with its YouTube partners). Based in New York, Gladstone will be responsible for the U.S. division of the site.
