Sony Acquires Cloud-Gaming Company Gaikai for $380 Million
Sony Computer Entertainment announced on Monday that it would acquire cloud-based gaming company Gaikai Inc. for roughly $380 million. The move into the cloud business marks a significant shift for SCE, a company best known for its PlayStation console gaming systems. Sony plans to establish its own cloud-based gaming service as a result of the acquisition.
