In Latest Internet Policy Win, ACTA Rejected by European Parliament

As expected, the European Parliament today rejected far-reaching copyright law ACTA, on a decisive vote of 478-39, with 165 abstentions. The international treaty still has support elsewhere in the world, including the U.S., but it hasn’t been ratified anywhere yet.

I feel sorry for Peter Thiel. Did he really want flying cars? Flying cars are not a very efficient way to move things from one point to another. On the other hand, 20 years ago we had the idea that information could become available at your fingertips. We got that done.
