Verizon Presses Play on Subscription Game Service

If you have an Android smartphone or tablet and can’t get enough mobile games, Verizon has a new service that might interest you.

Launching today, GameTanium is a subscription-based gaming service for Android devices that gives you unlimited access to more than 100 smartphone games and 50 tablet games.

Instead of purchasing individual games, you pay a monthly fee of $5.99 per device to play any of the games available in GameTanium’s library. Titles include Doodle God, Fruit Ninja and World of Goo, and are handpicked by the editorial board of Exent, GameTanium’s developer and on-demand games provider.

The GameTanium app is available now for download through Verizon Apps, and works with more than 30 Android smartphones and tablets, such as the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE and Motorola Droid Xyboard 8.2.
