Egnyte Gets $16M For “Hybrid Cloud”

Google Ventures led a $16 million Series C funding for enterprise file-sharing company Egnyte, joined by previous investors Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Polaris Ventures. Versus Dropbox and Box.net, Egnyte offers a “hybrid cloud” solution, where companies can use their existing infrastructure and firewalls in conjunction with cloud computing.
