Leap Motion Lands VC and Apple Vet Andy Miller

Andy Miller, who left his gig as head of mobile advertising at Apple to join Highland Capital Partners last summer, has left the VC firm to join Leap Motion. His new role at the motion-control technology company: President and COO.

Quite a score for Leap Motion. Miller’s a talented guy, widely respected in Silicon Valley. After selling Quattro Wireless, the mobile advertising company he founded, to Apple in 2009, he led Cupertino’s iAd division, reporting directly to Steve Jobs. His expertise is certain to serve Leap well in duties that CEO and co-founder Michael Buckwald describes as covering everything from overseeing the company’s overall direction to leading the development of the Leap application-discovery store.
