Obama Campaign Launches iOS App for Final Campaign Push
With less than 100 days before votes are tabulated, Barack Obama’s reelection campaign is launching an iOS app.
The “Obama for America” app has tools and information for volunteers, voters and backers of the Obama campaign, including canvassing features.
An Android version is supposed to be coming soon.
Obama follows his opponent Mitt Romney, who launched his own “With Mitt” iPhone app back in May. That app was initially ridiculed for misspelling the word “America,” a mistake that was quickly fixed.
Obama had previously launched an iPhone app in 2008, using then-new GPS to find local campaign offices.
