Glu Mobile Acquires GameSpy From News Corp.’s IGN Entertainment

Glu Mobile has acquired GameSpy Technology, a provider of multiplayer game technology, from IGN Entertainment. Terms of the deal included Glu’s issuance of $2.75 million in stock, which was mostly offset by GameSpy’s cash and receivables. Glu will use the tech, including multiplayer matchmaking, player statistics and leaderboards, in its mobile games.
