New York Times Lands BBC Boss for CEO

The New York Times has hired Mark Thompson, the outgoing head of the British Broadcasting Corporation, as its new CEO. The Guardian first reported that Thompson was a likely candidate for the spot, which has been open since Janet Robinson departed last December.
