Hedge-Fund Manager Found Guilty in Insider Case
A Northern California hedge-fund manager who testified in his own defense became the latest person convicted of criminal charges in a broad crackdown on insider trading in corporate America.
Federal prosecutors in Manhattan had accused Doug Whitman, of Whitman Capital of Menlo Park, Calif., of making almost $1 million based on corporate secrets he received about Google Inc. and other technology companies.
