Jawbone Brightens Up Jambox With Custom Colors

With a few exceptions, when it comes to color choices for your tech gadgets, you’re usually stuck with black, white or silver. But Jawbone wants to give you a whole rainbow.

The Bluetooth accessories company announced today that you can now customize its Jambox wireless speaker with a variety of colors. There are 13 different hues for the speaker grill, and nine for the top and bottom of the speaker — all of which you can mix and match in any color combination you like.

You will be able to design, as well as save and share your creations, on Jawbone’s Web site starting on Aug. 28. However, Jawbone Insiders and Klout users will get an early preview from Aug. 21 to Aug. 27.

The price for the custom-colored Jambox is the same as the original model, which is $199. The Jambox speaker system works with a variety of Bluetooth-enabled devices, including the iPhone, Android tablets and laptops.

Jawbone says it has no plans at this time to extend the color-customization options to the Big Jambox.
