Kickstarter projects promise rewards to people who fund them. It’s something between investing in a company and purchasing a product — but it’s neither. Hence, valid questions like NPR’s All Tech Considered’s “When A Kickstarter Campaign Fails, Does Anyone Get The Money Back?” Today, the Kickstarter team spoke out about its accountability policies in part by saying, “The fact that Kickstarter allows creators to take risks and attempt to create something ambitious is a feature, not a bug.”
