Groupon Managing Editor Departs to Join Wrapports

Managing editor Brandon Copple has left Groupon, the Chicago-based daily deals site, for a new position at Chicago Sun-Times parent company Wrapports, the company announced Thursday. Copple will oversee a new Wrapports venture involved in creating sports and business media products, and will head up development of a Web video project. Before joining Groupon in 2010, Copple wrote for Forbes and The Wall Street Journal, and was the managing editor at Crain’s Chicago Business for a seven-year stretch.
