The Two Features RIM Hopes Will Make the Next BlackBerry a Hit (Video)

When the next crop of BlackBerry phones hits next year, they will have an uphill battle taking on the iPhone 5, as well as the latest Android and Windows Phone devices.

But Research In Motion contends that the crowded field is filled with devices that all generally act alike, and that BlackBerry 10 will offer something different. In particular, RIM is touting the ability of the phones to offer better multitasking, and constant access to email and messaging, as features that will help the phones stand out.

In a video interview, RIM’s Jeff Gadway shows off an updated developer preview of the BlackBerry 10 operating system and, in particular, those two key features.
