Opening of Microsoft Pop-Up Stores Will Coincide With Surface Launch
October 26. That’s the day Microsoft’s new Windows 8 operating system officially ships and its Surface tablet arrives at market. It’s also opening day for some 30-plus pop-up stores. Located in markets including Miami, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Atlanta, these temporary brick-and-mortar storefronts are intended to capitalize on the holiday shopping season and give consumers curious about Surface and Windows 8 some hands-on time with both.
