Cisco Promotes Two in Race to Succeed CEO Chambers
Cisco Systems Inc. gave two senior executives the title of president Thursday, effectively naming front-runners in the race to eventually succeed longtime Chief Executive John Chambers.
Mr. Chambers, 63 years old, said he planned to remain CEO for another two to four years, recommitting to a timetable he laid out earlier.
The two executives being named president are Gary Moore, Cisco’s chief operating officer, and Rob Lloyd, who heads up world-wide sales. Both will retain their current jobs and take on some new responsibilities.
