A Few More Twitter Employees Fly the Coop
Add a few employees from Twitter to this week’s departure list.
The departures come on the heels of more exits as recent as last week, when New York engineering manager Ori Allon left the company, as well as a handful of designers and engineers. This follows some shuffling of other talent among departments, including a spate of new hires for the design, security and engineering teams.
McBride ends his three-year tenure at the company most recently as an engineering manager in charge of “maximizing developer productivity” (so says his LinkedIn profile), with previous positions working on different areas of the company’s API and platform.
McBride’s new gig: A position at Nest, the high-end thermostat start-up run by ex-Apple iPod guru Tony Fadell.
They’re sharing their last day with a third employee — Elizabeth Weil, former lead of corporate design and culture at the company — whose departure we reported on earlier. Weil leaves the company after a three-year stint beginning in corp dev and acquisitions, with a pit stop in the ads department (where her husband, Kevin Weil, continues to work as director of revenue products).
A Twitter spokesperson didn’t return my request for comment, and I don’t imagine she will. After all, it’s Friday.
