Facebook Commercial Gets Flushed (You Knew This Was Coming)

Facebook’s recent commercial — titled “The Things That Connect Us” — which compared the social networking giant to chairs, as well as bridges and doorbells, got a lot of criticism for being a little too twee.

(The best review of the ad — which came as Facebook got its one-billionth user — was from Motherboard’s Adam Clark Estes, who noted: “Still not getting the chair thing. When was the last time you were trying to round up some friends and were like, “Hey friends, come on over. I’ve got chairs.”)

And now, natch, it is getting some mockery.

Here’s one that was just posted comparing Facebook to another kind of seat — a throne of sorts, actually.
