LG Optimus L9 to Arrive in Style at T-Mobile This Fall

When it comes to smartphones, people’s priorities may differ — some users want something powerful, while others want a phone that just looks good. With their latest device, T-Mobile and LG want to offer you both.

The carrier announced today that it is adding the LG Optimus L9 to its lineup. An Android smartphone that focuses on style without sacrificing power, the handset was designed around several aesthetic goals, including comfort, slimness and ease of use; it features a 4.5-inch quarter-HD touchscreen made with Corning Gorilla Glass for extra protection.

The Optimus L9’s feature set isn’t top of the line, but you get a five-megapixel camera on back, a 1GHz dual-core processor and a 2,150 mAh battery.

LG first introduced the L series in February at Mobile World Congress, where the company said it wanted to go “back to our roots” and focus on building products that fit into the lifestyle of customers.

Without having seen it in person, it’s hard to tell just how stylish the L9 is compared to the competition. Judging from pictures alone, I have to say it doesn’t look much different from the rest of the touchscreen smartphones on the market today.

The LG Optmius L9 is due out later this fall, but T-Mobile did not provide additional details about availability date or pricing.
