Under Construction: Zynga Releasing CityVille 2 in Closed Beta

Despite acknowledging last week that its Ville-style games are fading in popularity, Zynga said this afternoon that it is releasing CityVille 2 in a closed beta. In a blog post, the company said little about the sequel, except that it will be a 3-D version of the very popular original. In September, Zynga launched FarmVille 2, which provided a much needed facelift to another Ville title. Zynga did not say when CityVille 2 would become more widely available.
