Latest Swype Update Adds in Gangnam Style, Cloud Sync

Nuance said the latest update of its Swype on-screen keyboard app will add a number of cloud-based capabilities, including the ability to have a dictionary that remembers nicknames and custom entries across multiple devices.

The new version will also allow users to choose to get automatic updates with new “hotwords” so that their keyboard will recognize trending phrases, such as “Gangnam Style.”

Swype is also adding additional themes, language support and more options for tablet users. A beta of the updated Swype will be available on Thursday.

Swype was acquired by Nuance last year for $100 millon, and the app got its first major update under new ownership back in June.
