Freshplum Launches Helium, a Small-Biz Online Shopping Cart

Sales analytics company Freshplum launched Helium on Thursday morning — it’s an online integrated shopping cart that helps small businesses collect customer payments from their Web stores. Freshplum is the start-up brainchild of Sam Odio, a former Facebook employee who left the company in 2011 to join Y Combinator and cultivate his idea for an e-commerce company. The new product is backed by payments platform Stripe, and is rolling out to limited partners now.
