AMD Adds Second Director From Abu Dhabi Investment Firm
Chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices announced today that it had added a new director to its board: Ahmed Yahia Al Idrissi, the second representative from Mubadala Development Company, an investment company funded by Abu Dhabi. Mubadala owns a stake amounting to 19.4 percent of AMD’s shares, stemming in part from the spinoff of its chip-manufacturing operations into the company known as GlobalFoundries.
