Sprint Says It Will Have LTE-Equipped iPad Minis, 4th-Gen iPads in Stores on Friday
Sprint said late Thursday that it now has LTE-capable iPad minis and fourth-generation iPads in its stores.
“Limited quantities of the new iPads are now available at select Sprint retail locations,” Sprint said in a press release.
Reports say that the first Apple customers who preordered cellular-equipped models are also starting to get their devices. The LTE-equipped versions of the two tablets officially go on sale on Friday.
We’re checking with Verizon and AT&T about their in-store availability plans.
Apple started selling the Wi-Fi only versions of both tablets on Nov. 2.
Update, 10:00 a.m. 10/16: AT&T also says it will have availability in stores. Verizon didn’t comment, but is offering the devices for order on its Web site.
