With Energy Data for 50M Households, Opower Spends $25M Per Year on R&D
Opower, the home energy efficiency start-up, says it now manages energy data for more than 50 million households across 75 utility partners in six countries. It’s also now spending more than $25 million annually on research and development on such things as behavioral science and big-data analysis, and is doing a product revamp today that focuses on customer engagement.
