Loyalty Start-Up Hires Chris Luo of Facebook for Marketing Role

FiveStars, a loyalty program that is trying to eliminate the need for punch cards at local merchants, has named Chris Luo as VP of marketing. Luo was formerly Facebook’s global head of small and medium business marketing. Before joining Facebook, Luo led acquisition marketing at Google for their AdWords product across all of Asia-Pacific. In August, FiveStars raised $14 million in capital to continue expanding into new markets.
