AT&T Dishes Out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update for Samsung Galaxy S III

As promised, the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update is making its way to Samsung Galaxy S III devices, and it’s AT&T’s turn. The software is available now, and brings such enhancements as support for Google Now, more detailed notifications, and camera improvements. The update isn’t being pushed out over the air. Instead, you’ll have to use Samsung’s Kies desktop application. AT&T did not immediately respond to an inquiry about when the Galaxy S III might receive Android 4.2, which is now shipping on the Nexus 4.
