iPhone 5 Reservations Hit 100,000 at China Unicom
China Unicom, the second largest wireless operator in China, began accepting reservations for Apple’s new iPhone 5 on Monday ahead of its December 14 debut, and early signs indicate that demand for the device is quite high. Multiple reports coming out of China claim China Unicom received over 100,000 pre-sale reservations for the iPhone 5 over the first day it accepted them. That’s more than double first day preorders for the iPhone 4, which reached about 50,000.
