YouTube Takes to the Big(ger) Screen: The iPad

Google’s YouTube has just rolled out an iOS app that’s optimized for the iPad, along with an updated app for iPhone 5. The new apps include better AirPlay support, faster video starts and smoother streaming, the company says. The homegrown iPad app and updated app for iPhone 5 come a few months after Apple’s “native” YouTube app disappeared from its new operating system; YouTube later rolled out a new version of the iPhone app that users have to download manually.
