Futurist Ray Kurzweil to Join Google
Ray Kurzweil, author and controversial thinker, announced on Friday that he will join Google as a director of engineering; he’ll focus on projects involving machine learning and language processing. Kurzweil is best known for his theory of “technology singularity,” essentially a claim that posits that mankind will create a post-human collective superintelligence through means of advancements in technology. Kurzweil’s first day at Google is Monday.
