Zuckerberg Gives $500 Million in Stock to Silicon Valley Charity

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said today he and his wife, Priscilla Chan, were donating 18 million shares of the company, currently worth almost $500 million, to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, a nonprofit that helps channel philanthropic gifts. Zuckerberg said the funds would go toward health and education projects.
