That Freckled Girl in a T-Shirt and Jeans Is Your Typical Mac User

The typical Mac user is a freckled woman in a T-shirt and jeans.

At least, that’s the most likely Mac user according to research from BlueStacks. She has also got a two-in-five chance of wearing glasses and a 15 percent chance of sporting a ponytail.

“We’ve created a monster,” said BlueStacks marketing VP John Gargiulo. “But she is a very cute monster.”

A year ago, BlueStacks did the same thing with Android users, creating a portrait of Mr. Android as a nerdy guy in jeans.

The release of the portrait comes as BlueStacks is entering beta for software that lets Android programs run on Macs. The company has similar software for Windows PCs.
