Apple’s Cook, China Mobile Meet, Raising Possibility of iPhone Deal
Apple Inc. Chief Executive Tim Cook and China Mobile Ltd. Chairman Xi Guohua met Thursday and discussed cooperation, raising the possibility that the world’s largest mobile carrier soon would begin offering the iPhone.
China Mobile said the meeting took place at the company’s Beijing headquarters, during Mr. Cook’s second trip to the country in less than year. But the company declined to disclose details of the discussions, citing a confidentiality agreement. Apple’s Beijing spokeswoman couldn’t be reached for comment.
