HP Chief Counting on Tech Exec to Whip Cost Structure Into Shape
Hewlett-Packard Co. CEO Meg Whitman, in the midst of a massive turnaround at the struggling tech company, has turned to her senior technology executive in an effort to cut $3.5 billion in costs from a bloated budget by the end of next year.
“We’ve laid a great foundation, now what we have to do is ensure each business unit has the right long-term architecture with the right mix of cloud systems and internal systems to run their business most efficiently,” executive vice president of technology and operations John Hinshaw told CIO Journal on Thursday during an interview.
