HP Creates Converged Cloud Unit, Names Gillai to Run It

Hewlett-Packard announced today it has created a new business unit that will manage its cloud computing offerings. The Converged Cloud unit will be responsible for creating and defining HP’s cloud-related hardware, software and services, and overseeing its go-to-market efforts and coordinating a network of partners. Saar Gillai, previously vice president and general manager of Cloud Networking, has been promoted to senior vice president and general manager of the new unit. He will report to Bill Veghte, HP’s COO.
