Twitter’s Latest Design Hire: Picplum Co-Founder Paul Stamatiou

Twitter announced the latest addition to its design team on Monday: Paul Stamatiou, co-founder of the photo-sharing service PicPlum. As an intern for Yahoo in 2006, Stamatiou worked on developing the company’s “Yodel Anecdotal” corporate blog. He worked on Picplum during Y Combinator’s Summer of 2011 class, but has decided to continue working as only an adviser to the company, leaving active development on Picplum in the hands of co-founder Akshay Dodeja. Stamatiou joins Twitter as an experience designer on the company’s growth team.
