Dutch Court Rules Samsung Galaxy Tablets Don’t Copy Apple’s iPad

Last October, a British court ruled that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab tablets don’t infringe Apple’s design patents; now a Dutch court has found the same thing. On Wednesday, a district court in the Hague ruled that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 8.9 and Galaxy Tab 7.7 don’t infringe Apple’s registered design for the iPad. While the devices might share a similar rectangular shape with rounded corners, the overall impression they present is different, the court said.
