HP to Cut 1,100 Jobs in German Enterprise Services Unit

Hewlett-Packard announced a restructuring of its Enterprise Services operations in Germany. The changes will affect 1,100 jobs, and HP will close a facility in Rüsselsheim, Germany, by the end of October. Of those, 850 jobs will be eliminated, and 250 people will be given the chance to join HP partners and vendors. The move is part of a restructuring announced last year, when HP said it would eliminate about 29,000 jobs in a multiyear shake-up that should be complete by early 2014.
