Some consolidation happening in the private-mobile-apps-for-romantic-couples space — an idea that sounds nice, but is proving to be hard to grow. Tenthbit, which has a major $4.2 million in seed funding, acquired its competitor Cupple — which it cited as first to launch in the space — and changed its app’s name to Couple from Pair. Another competitor is Avocado.
