Activision Powers Through the Holiday
Activision Blizzard Inc. had a merry holiday, with strong sales of its marquee war-simulation game as well as its new toy titles.
The Santa Monica, Calif., company said Call of Duty: Black Ops II was the top-selling game in the calendar year across all game consoles, recording $1 billion in sales within its first 15 days on the market — 24 hours faster than its predecessor and two days quicker than “Avatar,” the highest-grossing feature film of all time.
