Apple Loses iPhone Trademark in Brazil

Apple may be headed for another costly trademark dispute overseas. Brazil’s National Institute of Industrial Property on Wednesday denied Apple’s application for the “iPhone” trademark, ruling that Brazilian electronics maker Gradiente already controls the rights to the name. Apple is contesting the decision.
